My Local Heartbeat
________

In what ways have you been involved in the community?
Being part of the founding family the Platts, who are deeply rooted in the history of Palm Bay and Melbourne. Though we have always been farmers, we have never been in politics. My grandmother, father, and I have all served the city as employees, creating a strong and lasting connection to the community. Through my involvement in various city programs, boards, and committees, I’ve cultivated a broad network of support across Palm Bay.
As a youth football coach for 22 years, including serving as head coach for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, I’ve dedicated myself to mentoring hundreds of young people, not just my own children. My life has been intertwined with the fabric of this city, and I believe that experience makes me uniquely qualified to understand and represent the needs of its people.”
Why is it important for you to serve?
“My commitment to this community goes beyond my own family. I coach dozens of young people each year, investing in their future and striving to create a better life for them.
However, Palm Bay is facing a critical juncture. We are overtaxed and overdeveloped and are straining our infrastructure. We need to slow down these large projects and instead focus on attracting businesses that will benefit our residents. Right now, there are no local spaces for people to enjoy themselves, meaning Palm Bay dollars are flowing out to other cities.
This all comes down to a fundamental need to prioritize public safety and quality of life. I believe my voice will be the one to ensure these issues are addressed and that Palm Bay becomes a place where residents can thrive.”
How do you hope to make a difference?
“As the only candidate with firsthand knowledge of the city’s inner workings, I offer a unique perspective. My experience allows me to see through bureaucratic layers and understand the realities of how our city operates. This means I won’t be swayed by empty promises or misleading information. I’ll be the voice of reason, calling out excessive administrative bloat, wasteful spending, and the reliance on costly consultants when we have talented, highly paid engineers on staff. I’m prepared to make tough decisions and say “enough is enough.”

On day one, I will initiate an operational audit to expose inefficiencies, stem the flow of wasted funds, and set our city on a path to recovery.

As a conservative candidate, I stand for fiscal responsibility, supporting lower taxes and efficient spending. I prioritize strong law enforcement, property rights, and a limited government focused on essential services. I’m committed to fostering a business-friendly environment, improving education through school choice, and ensuring transparency and accountability in local government.
